MADDIE KHAMNEI
EVENT MANAGER
Madeleine was born and raised in Burlington, Vermont and received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley in Legal Studies with a minor in Mandarin. In college she worked as a 911 EMT and was a student athlete for NCAA Boxing. After suffering from Epilepsy, she shifted her career goals to raising awareness for epilepsy.

MIRIAM SWANSON
PROGRAMS MANAGER
Miriam grew up in Minnesota and graduated with a BA in Speech-Language-hearing sciences from the University of Minnesota. After working closely with a student with epilepsy, she has shifted her focus to work directly with epilepsy survivors.

CARLOS QUESADA
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Carlos was born and raised in Spain and moved to the United States to pursue his passion for photography. This led to a successful career in developing an growing a high-tech engineering and manufacturing company in the Midwest. After fourteen years of innovation, he decided to make a change in his life and follow a path focused in social responsibility.

MISSION AND TERRITORY
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California (EFNC) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization leading the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives.
EFNC is dedicated to providing information, resources, and support to the over 180,000 Northern Californians living with epilepsy.
We are currently serving 44 counties from the Oregon border down to Fresno County.
